| Microsoft Bangladesh arranged a seminar on Microsoft SharePoint 2010 and Office 365. It was a day long session for IT Professionals. SharePoint is often considered as CMS or DMS, but it is essentially a much more powerful application platform for common enterprise scenarios. It is an all in all platform for managing and provisioning of intranet portals, extranets, websites, document & file management, ...collaboration spaces, social tools, enterprise search, business intelligence, process integration, system integration, workflow automation, and core infrastructure for third-party solutions to name a few! It has been arranged at 7 January, 2012. |

It was a two-days long session for librarians from Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU, former IPGMR), University of Dhaka (DU), Khulna University of Engineering and Technology (KUET), Rajshahi University of Engineering and Technology (RUET), Chittagong University of Engineering and Technology (CUET), Shahjalal University of Science and Technology (SUST), University of Rajshahi, University of Chittagong, Chittagong Veterinary and Animal Sciences University (CVASU) and others on DSpace Installation, Configuration and Customization - has been arranged by BSMMU Central Library at 26-27 December, 2011. | Library & Information Services Unit (LISU), icddr,b is an user of DSpace and wants to share the knowledge about this with all the other libraries Bangladesh belongs to. For this reason, it invited a list of professional librarians from some prominant organizations like BSMMU, BCPS, NSU, University of Rajshahi, Bangladesh Agricultural University and many others for a day-long training session at 04 June, 2011. The main resource person was Md. Abdur Razzak Ali Sorker, Senior Manager, Application Development, Maintenance and Integration, Information Technology; facilitated by S.M. Zamshed Farhan, Programmer. Dr. Md. Nazim Uddin, Senior Manager/Head, Library and Information Services with LISU team organizged the full training session. The hands-on session contained - Introduction to DSpace and Metadata, User Management and authentication options, Installation and Configuration, Look and Feel Customization, Item Submission Workflows, Identifiers and many other useful topics about DSpace. |
